Be sure, though, that you plan well and get to the chosen spot early so you can ensure beach goers do not impose upon your wedding.

Mission Bay Park is another wonderful location choice. With over 4600 acres you should have no trouble finding that perfect wedding location. One word of advice about this park is that it can get very crowded, so plan carefully. Weekends seem to be the busiest time. You also have to submit an application which simply gives you permission to use the park, but does not reserve your spot.

On Pacific Beach there is Kate Sessions Park. The park overlooks Mission Bay and San Diego. It is a busy place. You must submit an application a year in advance to be allowed to hold your wedding there. There is also a maximum of 150 people, so plan carefully. Alcohol is welcome during daylight hours. This may suit your wedding perfectly if you have plans to hold your reception at the location as well. You also have to be aware that the park slopes, so choosing the right location within the park is important.

Cuvier Park or Wedding Bowl, is a picture perfect area. It has a cozy atmosphere and offers a semi private atmosphere. The park welcomes wedding with a permit, but receptions can not be held on site. Additionally, only one wedding permit is issued per day, so you should probably plan well in advance. The permits give you four hours, which is the total time you have, including set up and clean up. Holding a wedding here can be amazing, but planning well is essential.

Another option in the same La Jolla area as Cuvier Park, is Scripps Browning Park. This large park can get very busy, mostly on the weekends. The number of people allowed for wedding parties is restricted to 50 to 80, depending on the time of year. You must fill out an application, but as with other locations, this does not reserve an actual spot in the park.This does not cover all the locations and San Diego beaches, but it does point out the more popular locations. It is important that you choose carefully and that you make sure you plan well advance so your perfect day goes off without a hitch.
